Pet massage is becoming an essential part of total pet health care. As our awareness grows about the value of massage therapy more of us are discovering the therapeutic and diagnostic benefits for ourselves and our pets. Animals enjoy massage for the same reasons humans do. Massage brings pleasure, relief for sore muscles, soothes an aging body and aids in the recovery from surgery. With regular massage, health problems can be detected early, potentially preventing illness and disease.
Massage is more than petting. It is an intentional and focused technique that promotes and enhances physical and mental well being. Animal massage is an indispensable treatment option, providing release from pent-up stress and negative energy helping to calm your pet and to maintain a close connection between pet and owner.
Through my training as a Small Animal Massage Practitioner (SAMP) I have integrated my knowledge of a variety of massage techniques with a healing touch to create a strong bond with dogs and cats. Along with my passion and love for animals, I am studying Tellington-Touch, volunteering for the SPCA and several pet rescue organizations.
In different situations Maintenance, Performance, or Rehabilitative treatment will be indicated.
